Frequently Asked Questions

What is a professional organizer?
A professional organizer provides information, products and assistance to help others meet their organizing needs. A professional organizer guides, encourages and educates clients about basic principles of organizing by offering support, focus and direction.

What can a professional organizer do for me?
A professional organizer can provide ideas, information, structure, solutions and systems which can increase productivity, reduce stress, and create newfound freedom and a sense of being in control.

Will a professional organizer make me throw out all my stuff?
A professional organizer is a consultant who will ask questions, make observations and offer suggestions to help you decide what is or is not important to you. Ultimately, you as the client are the final decision maker.

Does the professional organizer do the work or does she tell me how to do it?
This is a personal decision based on your needs and budget. While many clients prefer working directly with their organizer, other clients just need some direction and a plan of action to get them going.

I'm a very private person. Will my sessions with a professional organizer be private?
A NAPO professional organizer is aware of the high level of trust placed in them by their clients. At All Things Organized, we will never do or say anything to breach that trust. Integrity, honesty, and confidentiality are our guiding principles.

How long will it take me to get organized?
Being that each organizing project is unique, there is no set answer to how long getting organized will take. The length of a project will depend primarily on the size of your home or office, the amount of clutter and/or paper that has built up, and how quickly you can make decisions.
